Spring Summer ‘22

A couple of women standing next to each other

As we embark on a new year and, with it, a new season, we are embracing our minimalist aesthetic in a new creative way and showcasing our trademark meticulous attention to detail.

For Spring Summer ‘22, we draw inspiration from the dazzling aesthetic of the British Art Nouveau style and have created a beautifully curated collection, capturing the essential femininity and flowing symmetry behind the art of some of the most renowned and innovative Scottish artists of le fin-de-siècle.

Influenced by the post-modernist work of influential female figures, such as Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh (Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s wife, who contributed to shaping the Art Nouveau movement internationally) and her sister Frances MacDonald, as well as talented embroiderer and designer Ann Macbeth - who was also an active suffragette - the new collection pays tribute to the idea of sisterhood and the sense of independence and freedom expressed through art.

Organic shapes, stylised flowers and luxurious embossed croc and snake take centre stage and complement the minimalist and structured lines of our signature Strathberry designs with an understated, nature-inspired colour palette of blue shades, warm chestnut, and olive tones.
From warm suede to fine embroidery on leather, the new styles are built around rich textures and minute, beautifully handcrafted, details, showcasing the high level of skill and expertise that goes into every Strathberry creation. The new designs celebrate the powerful connection between fashion and art, with innovative creativity and unique interpretation.

The gentle rolling hills and still waters of Loch Ard beautifully frame this ethereal collection, as the campaign was shot on location in Scotland – a nod to our heritage.
